FIPS

What is FIPS?

FIPS stands for Friends IPerryfields Infant School and it is the parent teacher fundraising organisation.

Who can join the committee?

All parents are automatically committee members.  The ‘active’ committee members meet roughly once a month to discuss current fundraising events.  See the notice board next to reception for more information.

What kind of events does FIPS organise?

We have a Christmas Bazaar and a Summer Fayre – these are the main fundraising events and are great fun for the children.  We also organise Quiz Nights, Colouring Competitions for the Children, Ladies Nights, Plant Sales, Book Sales to name a few.

What is the money used for?

The money is used to buy ‘extra’ things for the children during their time at school.  Some of projects that have benefited from funds raised by FIPS are; the Millennium Room, the Viking Ship and the Adventure Play in the playground.  Additional games and equipment have also been purchased for the classrooms, and most recently a wonderful outdoor learning classroom!  We are currently fundraising to update the library facilities for the children.
